On August 08th, the African Support Services of New Jersey (ASSNJ) had the honor of joining the Chadian Community in Jersey City for a significant and heartwarming flag-raising ceremony in Jersey City Hall. This event celebrated the rich cultural heritage and unity of the Chadian people, bringing together community members to honor their shared history and traditions.
At ASSNJ, we believe in the power of community and cultural pride as vital elements of the immigrant experience. Our participation in this event underscores our commitment to supporting the African diaspora in New Jersey, fostering connections, and celebrating the diverse cultures that enrich our community.
We are proud to stand alongside the Chadian community in Jersey City and look forward to continuing our work to empower and uplift African immigrants and refugees across the state.
