Adji Mahmat Saleh, Founder and Executive Director
Adji Mahmat Saleh is a dedicated humanitarian and the founder and Executive Director of African Support Services of New Jersey (ASSNJ). Arriving in the United States as a refugee in 2019, Adji possesses a deeply personal understanding of the challenges faced by immigrants and refugees. Drawing from this experience, Adji established ASSNJ to provide essential support for African immigrants, focusing on overcoming legal, employment, language, and cultural integration barriers. Adji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Cameroon, a Bachelor’s degree from New Jersey City University, and a Master’s degree in International Cooperation from Kalu Institute in Spain. Additionally, Adji has a Master of Humanitarian Assistance from Fordham University and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Saint Peter's University. With extensive expertise in leadership, program management, human resources, monitoring and evaluation, refugee support services, and case management, Adji leads ASSNJ with a commitment to helping individuals achieve a successful and fulfilling life in their new community.
